Week 14 Reading B: The Wicked Prince

 The Wicked Prince is a story that I had not directly heard of before, but after reading I see connections to many other stories. 

Plot: 

-there once lived a wicked prince whose dream was to conquer all the land and rule the world. He destroyed many nations and ran many people out of their homes in order to try and achieve this. 

-The many cities he destroyed allowed him to become the richest man on earth. He was very full of himself and thought that nobody could even be equal, much less better than him. 

-People told him that while he was very powerful, he would never surpass God, which the prince apparently took as a challenge. He had a giant and magnificent ship built. 

-The prince sat in the middle of the ship while guns shot out at every direction. Eagles attached to his ship allowed him to fly far above the earth.

-he rose so high in the sky that God sent one of his angels to his ship. Once the angel got there, he was greeted by the prince's bullets. 

-Only a single drop of blood was shed by the angel and it landed in the ship, which weighed it down causing it to crash back to earth. 

-He was still determined to beat god, so god sent a plague of gnats. He tried to cover himself from him, but one stung him in the ear and killed The Prince.
